Teachers and Administrators Visit the Community

Parental involvement is a critical component to student success. With this in mind, the administrators and staff at Sam Fordyce Elementary see the value and importance in building relationships with our students, parents and community. These past few weeks, teachers and administrators have been conducting home visits to show their appreciation to our parents for everything they do on a daily basis to support us as partners in education. These home visits have been rewarding for both parents and staff.  Parents have the opportunity to ask questions and our teachers and administrators are there to offer help in any way they can.  Parents are encouraged to attend school meetings, ask questions when necessary and use available resources at our school to help their children as well as themselves. The feedback we have received from these visits has been positive as stated on parent Lupita Salinas’s comment on our Facebook Page “Thank you all so much for coming out to our home and showing your care and appreciation.”
