|The Great Kindness Challenge|
Posted Date: 01/30/2018
Students and staff members at Sam Fordyce Elementary joined millions across the country in a bully prevention initiative during the last week of January created by Kids for Peace. Students were encouraged to participate and perform acts of kindness at school and around their community. Mrs. Dulce Ramirez, School Counselor, presented the program to the students and encouraged students to be kind and take part in the challenge. Acts of kindness were seen throughout the school where students would help other students, teachers, custodians and cafeteria workers. Students and staff members also got to dress up to follow a daily theme. Students dressed in western attire, as their favorite superhero, as a Minion, in Hippie attire and in their favorite team jersey.
